' The Walt Longmire books fit me like a favorite pair of jeans. I love this author and I love Walt Longmire. ' Such memorable characters, such a remarkable way the author has of landing you in alternate times/experiences and characters that become part of you. I thank Craig Johnson for every Walt Longmire book and will keep reading the series as long as it lasts. ' I liked this book but it was not a favorite. ' The Lone Ranger and Tonto in Viet Nam and Wyoming. Very readable and enjoyable!! ' - Emily, He does such an incredible job with dialogue. I liked how he weaved the Vietnam mystery into the story. ' The Dark HorseThe Dark Horse ' - Nancy, They're just pseudo-western detective stories, with Native American stuff as well think Tony Hillerman with less focus on the Native American aspects (most of the time at least). ' Another good story - although I did not enjoy the Vietnam segments very much. Indian culture as well as it's humor and resilience unusually well, for a wacicu (white man)! ' - Linda, Johnson captures a subtle essence of modern Am. ' Darker yet sweeter (yes that is possible!) than others in the series.

These Walt Longmire books keep getting shorter and shorter, but I do still enjoy them. I feel like that gets in the way of the story. ' This had the two voices/flashback thing.
